Harry Dresden--Wizard
Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.
Business has been slow. Okay, business has been dead. And not even of the undead variety. You would think Chicago would have a little more action for the only professional wizard in the phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn't been able to dredge up any kind of work--magical or mundane.
But just when it looks like he can't afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise.
A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses--and the first two don't count...
I enjoyed this book wvwn more than the last. No. I loved this book.
Everything about it is just brilliant, the story telling, the lore , the characters and of course the world building.
We learn a little more about the world , the magic and all or some other things that live in this world.
We meet some werewolves in this book and I loved the idea about different type what and how they made or how they made. We get different types of them in the same universe, whicg is something we don’t see all too often. While it was a bit confusing in the beginning, I loved it and I loved that we learned along with Harry at the same time.
We also learn more about Harry, and it is heavily hinted that there is more to him or his parents than let to believe. I have a few ideas but we shall see how right or wrong was in later books…… I hope lol.
I like everyone in this book some are more than others but that is normal, there are a few plot twists and shocks in this book as well.
Bob the skull is still one of my favorite things, aside from Harry, that I hope we get more of in future books. Of course I loved Harry, maybe a bit too much lol…… I love his humor. His loyalty to his friends, he will help them and stay by them even if he thinks they no longer will stay by his site. I love his friendship to Murphy and to be honest I sort of hope it stays a friendship.
Susan, I wasn’t sure about her last book, but I really come to love her and her relationship to Harry.
We meet Tara in this book and I also liked her and hope we get more of her In future books.
Overall, I loved this book, it was fun to follow and learn more about Harry and this world, it was also nail biting and oh so funny. Many laugh out moments but also some serious tender moments.
Again, listen to the audio narrated by James Marsters and it was so, so good.
I give it 5 ★
