White Trash Zombie Apocalypse - Diana Rowland

syns

Our favorite white trash zombie, Angel Crawford, has enough problems of her own, what with dealing with her alcoholic, deadbeat dad, issues with her not-quite boyfriend, the zombie mafia, industrial espionage and evil corporations. Oh, and it’s raining, and won’t let up.

But things get even crazier when a zombie movie starts filming in town, and Angel begins to suspect that it’s not just the plot of the movie that's rotten. Soon she's fighting her way through mud, blood, bullets and intrigue, even as zombies, both real and fake, prowl the streets.

Angel’s been through more than her share of crap, but this time she’s in way over her head. She’ll need plenty of brainpower to fit all the pieces—and body parts—together in order to save herself, her town, and quite possibly the human race.

my though

I really like how far Angel grew since book one. Not too much and not too little. Just the right amount. I also like that she has some setbacks throughout her journey.

She continues to build a better life for her dad and herself. She still works hard on her GED and of course she still works in the morgue.

The relationship with her dad still a bit strained but both are working on it. I love that it takes a while, instead just having a magic cure. It has his up and downs with them two. And things defiantly get tested for them in this book.

I love that Angel starting to be more and more “mushy” about people and really starting to let people in.

We have some familiar faces and some new ones. But we never know who to trust and who not to trust. Some people we thought were with us but really were not. Others was the opposite.

Marcus Oh man I cannot decide on him. Should I like him or shouldn’t I?? I have no clue, I’m all over the place when it comes to Marcus. Sometimes I want to smack him and a few pages later I like him again.

Pietro. Hmmmmmm as much as I want to, I still do not trust him and we still not really know how much her really is the good guy. He has his hands in everything good or bad. He seems genuine but also seems to be playing it well…. I really don’t know. The jury is still out when it comes to him.

Phillip. I have a feeling I will like Phillip, evil or good it doesn’t matter.

Nick, (“the prick”). I really love Nick and wish we get more of him. Even hoping he and Angel hook up at one point.

I also enjoyed Brian, I think we will see a lot more of him and hopefully learn a bit more about him.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It started out a bit slower than the first couple books but picked later on.

Also some things are better explained in this book, and we learn more about the zombies. It is also hinted that they might or might not be more to Angel. Why or what is a mystery for another book I guess.

I rate this book 4 ★
