Synopsis:
Eli Covington erased all traces of his cowboy upbringing to become a high-powered attorney. Then his father dies, and his brothers need him to rescue the family ranch. So, after fourteen years, Eli returns to the life he left behind and the one woman he can’t resist.
Veterinarian Reagan Matthews was furious with Eli for leaving her all those years ago, and yet she was never quite able to let him go. Their attraction is as incendiary as ever, and Eli is very good at stoking the flames. But Eli doesn’t belong in her world, any more than Reagan belongs in his. So until Eli leaves for good, why not take her pleasure where she can? Pleasure only her cowboy can provide.
My thoughts:
This is one of those books that I absolutely loved. I loved the story, the characters and the pace of the book.
Everything came together really great and made it for an awesome read. I read the book I one sitting, while it of course has a predictable HEA, I couldn’t put the book down. I needed to see what happens next and how it will happen.
I’m a sucker for romance novels that have characters that already once loved each other but then got separated for whatever reason. But eventually find their way back to each other.
This is no different in this book. Once a couple and very much in love, Eli left town to find something better to him, something that would make him feel better and make him feel like he belongs. Of course for that he left Reagan behind, the girl he loved.
