Synopsis:
Paranormal private eye. Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back! And she’s drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the part-human, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for all eternity, but come on. How is she supposed to solve a missing persons case, deal with an ego-driven doctor, calm her curmudgeonly dad, and take on a motorcycle gang hell-bent on murder when the devil’s son just won’t give up?
My thoughts:
This book had a lot going on again. I don’t even know where to start. A lot of different storylines come into one as the overall progress of the story continues nicely and we learn more and more.
Some rather shocking news about Earl Walker come to light as Charley helps Reyes out with a mission. Of course he took her at knife point but she still helps her out. But at a very high price to pay for her.
While I really like and adore Charley I feel like her character is stuck somehow. Being the third book in the series I would have hoped for a bit more character growth for her. She went and is going through a lot but it seems like it is just bouncing off her. She is the same funny, loving and smart Charley we meet in the first book and that seems a little odd considering.
We learn more about the upcoming war ahead and Charley yet has to discover her other powers. She also makes some new friends in this book.
